We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our Melbourne, Florida site and to be responsible for specialized IE services including lean initiatives, capital project evaluations, plant capacity analysis, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and trains team members with department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures regular audits for the maintenance of such procedures
  • Integrate Safety, Material Handling, Ergo, Process & Plant Operation request into plant AutoCAD layout
  • Review and assist plants with cost-saving projects, rebalance plans, and launch allocation planning including completing and evaluating time studies using the MODAPTS tool set as the measurement tool for work standards to ensure consistency
  • Develops Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEAs), control plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and supports problem-solving initiatives by implementing corrective action
  • Performing process and capacity analyses by documenting product, resource, and information flow in current operations using tools including value stream maps, process flow diagrams, time and motion studies, and AutoCAD drawings
  • Maintaining and updating AutoCAD layouts for supported operations
  • Assisting business development activities as needed by developing a complete cost model based on information from a RFP

Requirements

  • Proficiency in software packages such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, ) and AutoCAD / Catia
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Engineering, Manufacturing, and Industrial experience or 10 years of experience in a manufacturing planning role
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
