We are looking for a Sales Manager (M/F) to join the Aeronautics Business unit. This person will be based in the United States (ideally on the East Coast) and will lead business-to-business product support and sales development. The position will be home office, but will require travel.

Aeronautics, a business unit of Gauzy, is the market leader in shading systems and focuses on the development, design and manufacture of complete, custom, award-winning products for aviation, marine and specialty vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for defining complex, customised solutions with some of the largest manufacturers and operators in the USA.
  • Achieve growth and sales targets by creating and maintaining collaborations with OEM’s. 
  • International travel will be required.
  • Be responsible for the entire sales cycle, including negotiation.
  • Define a prospecting plan, follow up, consolidate proposals and convert leads into sales with some of the largest manufacturers, fulfilment centres and operators in the US.
  • Actively participate in the sales strategy for North America in collaboration with Aeronautics.
  • Build and promote strong and lasting relationships, and follow up with customers by partnering with them to understand and meet their needs.
  • Analyse service activity data, resolve issues and suggest areas for improvement to maintain and enhance customer loyalty.
  • Analysing and documenting key performance indicators, past sales and revenue generation, presenting realistic sales data and forecasts to management.
  • Keeping an eye on the competition, researching emerging technologies and products.

*Occasional travel to Europe for training courses and trade fairs. Please note this position is fully remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or other related discipline
  • Experience in B2B long cycle sales/business development in aeronautics market – Must
  • Ability to work independently and produce excellent results with high ROI
  • Excellent communication, presentation and strategic planning skills
  • Strong business acumen, ability to communicate and influence credibility at all levels
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
  • Visa valid in the US
  • Experience selling complex custom products to OEMs – Advantage
  • Experience in aeronautics or public transport – Advantage
