Mechanical Production Technician

We are looking for a Mechanical Production Technician to join our Roll to Roll production team.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with established job safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified in production area.
  • Performs duties as required to ensure compliance with the production quality standards.
  • Performs various manual or mechanical production functions by operating, adjusting, and repairing production machines to meet customer specifications.
  • Performs troubleshooting on production equipment or tools as required.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment and machines as required.
  • Inputs data on a computer terminal to identify, label, and palletize finished products.
  • Removes finished products from the production areas ensuring proper identification, packaging, and labeling to meet customer specifications.
  • Conducts inspection of in-process or finished product to meet customer specifications.
  • Responsible for replenishing supplies required for assigned area (raw materials, hand tools, packaging materials, etc.).
  • Rotates through workstations as needed for coverage, relief, and training purposes as required.
  • Initiates, reviews, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Job-related experience for 3 years minimum (Mechanical experience from the army is also relevant)
  • Relevant technical or mechanical education
  • Inspection and Troubleshooting skills/experience
  • Experience working in an industrial and manufacturing environment
  • Ability to apply standard procedures and production quality techniques, procedures, and criteria
  • Ability to learn operating principles and nomenclature of all assigned equipment, products, and quality standards
  • Ability to learn to identify product defects
  • Ability to use hand and power tools, and to lift heavy weights
  • Working knowledge of machine mechanics
  • Must wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear in
  • appropriate areas and follow safety practice
  • Basic computer orientation skills
