Gauzy completed an innovative installation of laminated PDLC smart glass in an intensive care unit, enhancing patient care through advanced technology. The installation includes 30 square meters of PDLC adhesive smart film, integrated across 25 glass units in 15 rooms. This includes 12 internal observation windows, allowing medical staff to monitor patients from room to room seamlessly, and 13 external corridor-facing windows, providing privacy with the ability to become transparent at the switch of a button. All windows are controllable from two locations in each room through a 3-way wall switch, facilitating quick privacy adjustments or observations as needed.
